Update on tyres i have been on a daytrip to Calais and asked at Speedy tyres and Norauto (both have branches all over France) yes tyres are avliable but if not in stock it could take a day to get them in. When i asked about 6 ply they said what was the loading etc they then got out some charts...

guy you can get broken keys out by using a piece of a fine fretsaw blade with the teeth facing you and downwards you just slide it in just above the broken key and pull it out (may need a bit of a jiggling about) a good locksmith should be able to cut you a new key from the bits or the number...
