Floë Drainage Kit / Air Compressor Pressure

Thanks for your replies. I'm more and more thinking that my 12v compressor has a fault. I'll try another one and see what happens. Jon

    Pallets for decking?

Has anyone used wooden pallets as a form of decking in the awning? I was thinking of using them on our seasonal pitch next year and then covering them with ply wood before putting a carpet down. Any ideas, comments, suggestions? Thanks Jon

Floë Drainage Kit / Air Compressor Pressure

Hi I recently bought a Floë drainage kit in order to winterise my caravan. The instructions state to build the pressure in the caravan to 15psi but when I attach my compressor, the pressure builds up to around 5psi and then the compressor turns off. Am I king something wrong? All the taps...

    "MIFI" - Discuss....

Cheers Surfer My iPhone is with O2 where the coverage on Anglesey, where we go, is pants. Looking at the network coverage, 3 seem to be the best. I know it's a loaded question (and i'm not asking you to reveal what you use yours for ;-)) but does the 1GB download last a while? I'd only use...

    "MIFI" - Discuss....

Hi Has any one had any good / bad experiences of using MIFI in their vans and are they recommended? I've already looked at the network coverage in Anglesey so i'm happy with which provider to go with if I was to get one. Thanks Jon

    3G and WIFI router

Hi Colin I'm on o2 as well and the only place we can get 3G is in Holyhead itself which is a few miles form where we stay. I wasn't sure if an actual 3G antenna would act as a boost to the signal as my iPhone can't get it.

    3G and WIFI router

Hi Sorry if this has been discussed before but has anyone fitted themselves, or had fitted, a 3G antenna and WIFI router in their 'vans? Where we stay on Anglesey, we can't get 3G on site and was wondering if I put an antenna on my 'van, whether it would likely improve the signal? Thanks for...

Hi everyone, Just wanted to canvas all you seasoned caravanners for some advice/help/tips etc regarding setting up on a seasonal pitch. My wife and I are hoping to get a seasonal pitch next year and are starting to try and work out what the first thing is advised to do once the obvious things...

    Whoops, hope he's insured

Hear hear, Prof! I'm glad I read this comment as I have towed my caravan with the hitch lock on. From now on, I will only keep it on whe my caravan is unattended. I'd not even considered trying to unhitch in the case of a fire....

C & CC Insurance admin fee

It might be in the T&C's but £20 for effectively answering my phone call, which I paid for, then sending out a seemingly unchanged document is a bit steep. I put a cherished transfer plate on my X Trail which cost me nothing when I informed my car insurance company of the change, and they sent...

    Poor Driving on Motorways

I didn't think my comments would draw such a wide range of opinions as they have. Quoting road rage where someone gets killed is not part of my discussion, nor is lowering the speed limit to 35mph on a motorway. My point was, and still is, if you drive a car on a road, whether a motorway or...

    Poor Driving on Motorways

You should only drive at a speed that the speed limit, road conditions and that the vehicle you are driving allow (as well as your own capabilities). When you're on the motorway as busy as it was yesterday with large number of HGV's etc, to have a modern day car sat doing 50mph with HGV's having...
