    Water system sterilisation

Well it's been well over a year since we've had the opportunity to use the van and we've finally boked a few weekends away in July. I'd like to use Pur on the water system and barrel as usual but i was wondering if anyone had any tips for sterilising the blue hose?

The Sunncamp Swift 260 air was actually one we were looking at. Its looks the perfect size for a weekend night stay. Have you been happy with yours thedoog1?

    Small Porch Air Awnings

Just back from a two night stay at our favorite site, and due to the fact it was only two nights i couldn't really be bothered taking the full awning with us. The weather was a mixed bag with a bit of rain here and there so this meant we couldn't really leave shoes or recycling outside the van...

    Bird song

We were camping at a site about six years ago and through various mishaps i ended up sharing a sleeping pod in the tent with my four year old son. The conversation went like this... Son: "Dad! whats that?" Me: (waking up) "Umm, sounds likes crows.." Son:"Are you sure?" Me: "Yes son pretty...

She didnt see this one coming.

Outwell don't supply the wheel arch cover either, i guess its a way to get people to part with more hard earned cash. :P Having recently purchased a Carri Chef 2 i see that Cadac do something similar. If you want all the accessories or even just a 2nd hose and regulator to use at home you can...

    Awning Pulley Kampa

Well i can confirm that threading the awning on from the front of the van made a huge difference for us.. way easier! I reckon it wouldn't be a problem for one person to manage, now if i can just convince the wife to do it... :D

    Awning Pulley Kampa

Been tempted to buy one of those myself, but i don't think our awning has an eyelet to attach the cord.. Incidentally i was wondering which end do folks thread their awning unto the caravan? I know it can be done from the front or the rear but i'm thinking from the front would be easier as...

    LEd spotlights with USB

The main reason is that chargers take up the mains sockets of which there is only two. I also thought its convenient to have the usb charging points available at the fixed bed and the seating area.

    LEd spotlights with USB

I've recently had the brainwave of replacing the six reading spotlights with new led spots and thought while i was at it id try and get some with usb ports in them. These will be very handy considering the amount of devices that require charging for the kids and of course our kindles phones etc...

    Roof Blinds.

Our roof blinds are suffering the same fate. It always seems to happen on the folds so its an area which flexes a fair bit. Maybe a bit of grey silicone sealant on the offending holes might do the trick just smidged on with a fingertip?

Sorry i should have supplied more detail. My Caravan is a 2008 Swift Conqueror 540. Its has an lcd screen above the doorway for the electrics and there is a separate switch for the charger on the consumer panel in the wardrobe. I've checked that this is switched to the on position. the control...
