Hi again everyone, here is another question about our 1986 Avondale Mayfly. When trying to clean it over the weekend I noticed some crazing / cracks on the front fibre-glass panels. See photo. Does anyone know how to "repair" that before it gets too bad ? Many Thanks, Leslie

Same problem a few years back - was told-off for trying to drill a hole "into their lovely new hard surface" so always stay on grass now, best of luck though. Les

Yes, they are all stencilled onto the plastic 'glass' windows with the same number: LE 6888-17

Yes, it is to do with getting it Insured. Having found a Company that will cover older 'vans the first thing they asked was does it have a VIN or something to identify it... But thanks for coming back to me.

We have a 1986 Avondale Mayfly and I am trying to get it CRIS Registered but they keep asking me for the Serial Number. I'm not sure where to find it ? They say that it should be stamped somewhere on the ALKO chassis frame but unless I can get on the ground under the caravan to look I've no idea...
