I will have a go when I get home as I don't want to mess up and have the alarm going off on site. Something else I noticed today is that the red light on the PIR is permanently on and doesn't blink when you move around like it used to.

Thanks. The alarm is a Sargent Stinger 310.

No Bertieboy. Fridge door shut. Rang Sargent earlier and they think it's the battery in the alarm box needs replacing. Will replace and update post.

Just to add that I have fitted a Sargent VLM unit to the van for the LED lights on the van.

Thanks Damian. It does have alarm fitted but I have never used it.

We are away in the van for the first time this year and the van has developed an intermittent single beep accompanied by the exterior lights flashing once in time with the beep. Has anyone any ideas what it could be.

Thanks for the replies. Regarding the wiring when I had the towbar fitted I had the vehicle specific wiring harness fitted to my motor. Looked in the manual but couldn't find anything so thanks otherclive for finding about pressing the black power button in to allow charging. Found the edit...

I should also add that it is a 13pin connector and sergeant electrics in the van. (sorry don't know how to edit original post)

Hi All. I have a 2011 Stirling Eccles Topaz. My question is does the caravan battery charge up when being towed by the towing vehicle. If so do I need to turn anything on in the caravan for example the PSU black main switch. Thanks in anticipation.

Thanks for all the replies. I have been advised by Sargent that their vlm box will sort out this issue. Can anyone tell me where you fit it and if it involves electrics knowledge. Nothing on the van looks easily accessible to me.
