Hi, I bought the van second hand 4 years ago, so apart from the casette case with kit, keys, barrel lock and lever socket spanner I Don, t have anything with a serial number ? Unless it stamped on the reverse side of the lock! Can you offer any further advice. Thanks.

The usual black wrench that comes with the kit. It's the teeth ( star receptors) that have completely sheared off. Brute force was not being applied.

Hi, Due to go away for the weekend, caravan packed up. Whilst unlocking the lock bolt with the socket adaptor the key (star configuation) socket end has sheared off. Weekend cancelled, and will now have to wait until Monday to talk to Alko. This is a fault that has stranded my caravan luckily...

Hi, I have the 2.5tdi Touareg, which tows a Hymer Nova at around 1600 -1700 kg. Usually with 3 mountain bikes on the A frame and an outboard motor in the boot. ( I inflatable boat and kit under the bed) so fully laden. Towing mpg around 20 mpg most of the time. The car is in control...
