This may be the obvious answer,but have you tried one of the many Kia Dealers.I have always found them very helpfull,especially as the vehicle comes with a 3 Year unlimited mileage warranty from new!!

You will only have to change the ball if it is not 50mm.I think what is being refered to is the fact that Alko supply a ball with their stabilizers that has a larger stem to move the ball further away from the car to allow for the larger head of Alko unit over "standard ball".

I have found the best thing to clean the pads & the towball is Car Brake Cleaner,comes in a spray can,you can spray it on & wipe it off.If you clean the towball every time you hitch up the pads in the stabiliser stay clean for a long time. The cleaner can be purchased in Halfords or similar outlets.
