    Replacing the whale hook up

Hi everyone - hoping you've all had a briliiant summer using your caravans most weeks like us. I brought our whale hook up hose and filter home to stick it in some Milton, and the amount of crud that came out of it was amazing. I can't clean inside the whole length of pipe, so I wondered if...

    Referees .World Cup

AS a rugby referee, this is what separates the two games - respect for the man in the middle (regardless of how "good" he is. As someone once said to me, would I get sent off if I called you a blind w4nk3r? Yes. Can you send me off for thinking it? No. In that case sir, I think you're a...

You might also want to bear in mind that if you use some automatic filling stations they debit your card 100E and refund the difference later. it can be a budget buster!!

Ford Kuga towing a Bailey Indiana

HI Craig It was more a case of feeling the car was slightly underpowered as a 2 wheel drive 150bhp, so was going to upgrade anyway, but the nagging doubt over whether it was or wasn't depending on where you look for info sort of pushed me into the change now rather than waiting until next...

Ford Kuga towing a Bailey Indiana

Hi Craig - clearly not! Thanks for the reply though. I've just managed to do a deal on a trade in, so will be the proud owner of a new one soon! Just need to get a towbar sorted for it, as the one on mine can't be transferred, which is a bit of a ******.

Ford Kuga towing a Bailey Indiana

Clive Many thanks - I've checked that site, selected the right car and it tells me it's a pretty good match (phew) but your point about keeping the van light and loading the car is a valid one and one that I shall ensure Mrs R1962 is aware of!

Ford Kuga towing a Bailey Indiana

Thanks Clive. I'm not inexperienced at towing (5 years with a folding camper) just with a caravan, and my licence is valid. Google tells me the kerb weight of mine is 1647 and that 85% of that is 1400 and that the towing capacity id 1900. Am I still too light??

Ford Kuga towing a Bailey Indiana

Completely confused by all the towing weight calculation stuff, but one site says my car is too light to tow the Indiana, but I thought it was ok? Kuga is a 2.0 TDCi 150BHP Titanium X 2WD 5 door which I believe has a Gross weight of 2250, and a gross train mass of 4150 which (I think) says I...

Do you use one at home? If not, and your caravan mattress is comfortable enough, why bother??

Replacing the indicators etc on a caravan

Thanks all - I'll leave them as they are then. I just thought they might be brighter and easier to be seen than the standard ones, but I won't mess with something that's not broken!

Replacing the indicators etc on a caravan

First post from me, and I just wondered if anyone had tried to replace "plain" bulbs for indicators and brake lights for the LED versions? We're new to caravanning having bought ours last September privately - a 2005 Bailey Senator Indiana - and wish we'd done it years ago having chosen a...
