    Slovenia

There's a nice site at the end of lake Bled that's worth staying on. It's a bit crowded around the entrance where there are marked pitches, but as you move further through the site there's more room and trees for shade. There's a nice restaurant at the entrance and the reception staff speak...

    Mitsubishi Delicia

Just rush out and buy 1 they are fantastic towcars, the best I've ever used. I've had mine over 18 months now and it still makes me smile when I drive it. It's true that they use the same engine/transmission and 4WD system as the Pajero but they aren't based on the Pajero chassis as they have a...

    remi top rooflight

It's an easy enough job, just take the screws out and the whole surround will drop down including the blinds etc. It's then dead easy to sort the strings out and retension them to get it working again before re fitting it

    crystal palace,London

It's a caravan club site so you know what you're going to get before you get there. We've been twice and I think it's in a brilliant place, just book it and enjoy

    pajero fieldmaster

There can be a problem with timing chains stretching on the 2.8 Pajeros and Delicas. This seems to be confined to a number of motors produced in 1994 and results in a chuffing noise starting around 3000rpm. Ignore the warnings at your peril, they do snap and then it's curtains for the engine...

    Lunar EB Awning size help

I've got a Lexon CD and find that the 1050 fits fine both on sloping pitches and level pitches.

    Cost of Diesel

All you diesel drivers could of course use veg oil, even if you pay the duty it's still not as expensive as diesel. It's also environmentally friendly as you're not depleting the earths oil reserves, in fact the only downside to using it that I can see is that the exhaust of your car ends up...

    Christmas caravaning

That's an easy one, you have 2 christmas's. 1 while you are away and another with half/most of the pressies when you get back. Done it many times and the children love it

    two door caravans/Continental openings

I remember a Bailey Senator from the early to mid ninties had 2 doors, shame the idea never caught on really. The layout was good and there wasn't much wasted room either

    12S plastic plug

This happens when the 2 halves of the pins close together and results in loose fitting pins in the socket. This produces arcing and can ultimately melt both plug and socket

    Dimpled roof!

It's happened to me in Austria - TWICE. Both caravans weren't quite 2 years old at the time, the first one was a write off, it needed a new roof, a whole side and a back panel. Even the toilet cassette door was badly damaged. No trouble with the insurers each time (CIS and caravan club) but...

    Germanys Baltic coast

It just happens to be August, we don't usually book any campsites in Europe and as there are quite a few in the area I'm sure that we'll find 1 when we arrive there, it's just nice knowing where they are located and what kind of facilities they have. It's been a few years since we've been up...

    Germanys Baltic coast

Thanks Lutz, Ich nur spreche ein bischen Deutche but don't usually have a problem communicating and navigating around German websites and generally figuring out what they are saying. I was kind of banking on a reply from you, knowing how proactive you are on the forum, I'll check out the...
