110 Ah Battery

Hi my charger broke and my 110ah battery ran down. I have got the charger fixed but the battery won't charge up but my spare 85ah battery will

any ideas?

Probably best to get it tested and see if any of the cells have failed. If so, then I would suspect it is a gonner.

Batteries are usually pretty tough animals and will take a lot of abuse, but I do not know the age or the full circumstances.

the battery is around 12 months old. is it possible the charger is not capable of charging batteries over a certain size?

Unlikely, but there are many different types of chargers. If it will charge the 85 amp I cannot see why the 110 amp would be any different. It may just take longer.

Sorry but a battery tester is probably the only way of telling.

It's quite possible the first battery was faulty and thats what killed the original charger!

If the battery`s only 12 months old take it back as they are guaranteed for at least two years, worth a try
