13 pin euro plug

Went to look at the new van today and realised that it is fitted with 13 pin europlug electrics.

Now have a choice of:-

Fitting an adaptor to convert 13 pin plug to 2 x 7 pin plugs - cost about £24

fit a 13 pin skt to the car to take the 13 pin plug from the van.

Don't see a pre wired one so would also have to buy some 13 core cable and make up the loom.

which option?

Hi I converted my car last week , you dont need 13 core cable for car as the two 7cores will fit in rear of 13 pin socket & its straight forward to transfer. Just keep a good wiring diagram handy to match colours. Good luck.

Without a shadow of a doubt change the socket on your car. You won't regret doing it.

absolutely spot on. Spent a couple of hours wiring it in ( only had to add the wires from the second7 pin plug) and then wire all into the eurosocket(13pin). Everything worked just fine when I picked up the new van Friday. 🙂)
