1st time caravan club sites

just come back from scotland.stayed 3days at craigie gardens (ayr)5days at bunree(onich)and 5days at marragowan(killin).4 vans in our party.enjoyed everybit(well apart from travelling up the A82)found the wardens on all sites very friendly and helpful.Only had a dozen midge bits, tried jungle wipes, repellant spray ended up using avon skin so soft body oil.sister in law did't use anything and didn't get 1 bite.no such look for one of our friends, the midges attacked his arms, he got stung by a wasp then to make things worse while traveling to our 3rd site he had a collision causing damage to the side of his van.hope he can get it sorted asap.

Lyn, my kids love maragowan and the village of Killin. Hate the midges but as we live further north they are just an occupational hazard to us. As you say good wardsns there too. Have had lots of good reports about Craigie Gdns, what facilities are there? Is there an area nearby for ball games? Thanks a lot in advance for any help.

Lyn,

If you come north again ask for a different route to avoid the northern end of the A82.There are other options!! We always advise people NOT to go that way.
