this car now has 109,ooo miles on clock, our last holiday back in the uk the engine emissions light came on.5 garages later the fault was finally diagnosed,as being the inlet regulator valve in the fuel pump.cost of new pump is 2100 pounds,a big ouch.i have driven the car back to Ireland where i live,i will have a recondition of the pump, cost is 650 euros plus 100 for fitting.i also need new brake discs fitting price from Kia was £90 all in.

to cap it all of i have spent £200 on a new drivers side door switch for the windows,2 new tires, regas and anti leak for air con cost was £220,also diagnostics and new fuel filter at £100.

this may not be the end of it yet as timing belt, pulleys ect are being checked, cost will be 300 euros for a set.

all this in the last month alone.

due to financial situation i can not afford to change car as cars here are dear,,the car is worth 6000 euros.

when will it all end.

the car has only had a recondition starter, universal joint on the steering rack, the rack is leaking slightly but have used a anti leak compound in it.

yust dreading the bill now.sarah

Sounds like an expensive time for you at the moment Sarah.

Hope it all comes to an end soon.

A fine towcar so im told but the upkeep sounds rather an expensive hobby.
