Hi guys and girls

Picking up my first motorhome tomorrow B) :cheer: ;) and on my first drive got a 100 mile journey  any thoughts and tips about this vehicle and advice for my first sojourn in my motorhome. I wondered if anyones had this vehicle before is the rear window usable for viewing from the drivers seat .

Thanks

Our first van was a 2004 Autoquest 100 :)

Yes, the rear window is usable for viewing through the central rear view mirror but we found use of a Fresnel Lens improved the view. See my notes Here.

If you have any questions specific to the van I'll be happy to try to answer them.

Sticking to around 50-55 mph we reckoned to get about 29 or 30 mpg. Go faster and it uses a fair bit more (as with all vans). On hills the 2 litre engine won't let you go faster but never mind, you're on holiday :)

On handover make sure that everything is explained to you and if you don't understand anything, ask. We had a leak from the water inlet pipe so make sure there are no cracks in it. Also, check that you have the buff coloured extra cushions for making up the bed - see Here - as I recall seeing a post somewhere from somebody who was having trouble and it turned out he didn't have them.

Otherwise it's just a matter of making sure nothing is broken really. Hope you enjoy using it :)
