Hi guys and girls

Picking up my first motorhome tomorrow B) :cheer: and on my first drive got a 100 mile journey any thoughts and tips about this vehicle and advice for my first sojourn in my motorhome. I wondered if anyones had this vehicle before is the rear window usable for viewing from the drivers seat .

Our first van was a 2004 Autoquest 100

Yes, the rear window is usable for viewing through the central rear view mirror but we found use of a Fresnel Lens improved the view. See my notes Here.

WOW Excellent thanks graham what sort of MPG do you think i can expect and any things i should look for on my final check before purchase.

Sticking to around 50-55 mph we reckoned to get about 29 or 30 mpg. Go faster and it uses a fair bit more (as with all vans). On hills the 2 litre engine won't let you go faster but never mind, you're on holiday

On handover make sure that everything is explained to you and if you don't understand anything, ask. We had a leak from the water inlet pipe so make sure there are no cracks in it. Also, check that you have the buff coloured extra cushions for making up the bed - see Here - as I recall seeing a post somewhere from somebody who was having trouble and it turned out he didn't have them.

Otherwise it's just a matter of making sure nothing is broken really. Hope you enjoy using it
