2009 Swift Charisma 535 Porch Awning Size

Hello

My wife and I are about to return to Carvaning after a 13 year break. We have purchased the above but we don't pick it up until the 2nd week of September.

We have just been round to our Local Camping and Caravaning store and they have a deal on a Sunncamp Air Awning, but we don't know the size of the horizontal part of the Awning track and the caravan we have purchased is over a 100 miles away.

Would anyone on here know the answer, I'd also like to know the position of the windows along the track if at all possible.

It has a body length of 4.74m but you need to allow for the curve of the front and back panels so about 4m should be the maximum I would risk. Looking at the brochure plan the front window is immediately in front of the door and there is a small rear window well down the side behind the door. It looks as though most sizes will fit either over the front window or behind it, but unless someone has one and can give you the exact measurement there is an element of risk. It looks a nice caravan though.
Not sure who you are buying off but cannot you just ring them and ask them if they can measure the caravan

Hi Ray,

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

We did email the dealer and they advised earlier today that the maximum usable length is only around 10ft (3m) so we will probably wait until we get the van home and make a design from there, although it look as though we will probably go for a regular full awning.
