Ah Human rights Legislation at it's best !!Our local town has a sign that by order of the Local Chief Constable nobody under the age of 21 will be sold alcohol in all the supermarkets and shops.
So my 19 year old son simply shops in the Tesco superstore on his way home. He says he will not use the local shops even when he reaches 21.
Most 18 to 21 year olds are sensible and just want a few beers to watch the match or a DVD with.
A blanket ban is in my view VERY poor policing indeed. Such a Ban is no substitute for Police pressence and just alienates law abiding under 21's.
Funnily one lad who is half Spannish said to the shopkeeper that he was being discriminated against because of his race!!
Aparently the local Co-op fell over itself to let him have the few beers he wanted!!
