A country with no Cars

Didn't know which to post this in!!

Here's a question.

If we all stopped using ours cars tomorrow being sunday and overnight the good fairy provided all the public transport required, how long would it take people to get to work?

How crowded and caotic would it be at peak times?

I know it would take my hubby about 2 and half hours (if he's fast) to get to work. 2 ways thats 5 hours.

He couldn't do it and work the 10 hours hes does, that's a total of 15 hours a day, add on 8 hours sleep that makes it 23 hours.

Also how many people work locally has they did 30 years ago???

It's Saturday night Smiley, what on earth are you doing posting at half-ten?

My domestic goddess and I were emailing two hours ago but put the lat top down to watch TV. We should have gone out to the pub but instead (being tired out from having our granddaughters all day) opened a bottle of wine or two. I picked up the said lat pop and must av moved 'T' mouse wat revealed your post. That's our excuse anyroadup.

Can't rite anymor as 'T' Goddess says it's time 4 bed as it is still Saturday night.

I'm not normally on the pc at night BUT, grandaughters birthday had to go to pizza hut, said goodbye.

What's the problem there I hear?

HUBBY recorded the rugby, he and son sat and watched it then straight after football!!!

So where else was I to go?????
