A couple of questions about Rallies

Having never been to a Rally, i'm not sure on a couple of points.

I've been looking at some of the Rallies coming up for my local branch of CC. They list a price per person for the some rallies. Is that price on top of the normal pitching fee's from the site they are using?

Are there no EHU facilities at all rallies, or just some?

thanks

Rick

Richard, All the rallies I have been to and run are charged per unit and two people. Anymore than two people will sometimes be charged for. EHU most times no as is toilet facilities unless on a proper site. J.Lo

Have only been to rallies that charge per unit but then have individual charges for any socials that may be running. Belong to 4 different clubs and this has been the case with them all. Tend only to go without EHU and would only have one if no cost reduction for not having one, but then we use our solar panel all year instead

..We are going to Bridgwater and Burnham on Sea Somerset carnivals and fireworks with the Camping and Caravaning Club on Friday November 6th to Tuesday November 10th.

Cost is

Are you staying at the Zoyland rally site Gafferbill?

We're going down on Thursday to visit the Bridgewater and Burnham on Sea carnivals but we decided to stay at Unity in Brean

Yes.........I'm tight!

Take your brolly or two!!

We rally with local centre of CC.

The rally charge is made up of admin fee, night fee, plaque etc which all make up a per unit fee - there is then a social fee per person or child this is usually voluntary but there may be instances like a fireworks display where it would not be fair to opt out.

Generally green field weekend rallies cost our family

Most points have been answered I'd encourage anyone to try rallying or meets. Don't judge on the first one though as you need to get to know people. Remember that some people will have been rallying together for 20 years. Let the rally officer know it is your first and they should introduce you to someone who'll let you know what's happening. I emphasise that everything is voluntary but you should attend the welcome and the closing. Ask about whether you need to take mugs and/or chairs.
