Has anyone any experience of fitting/using the A frame bike racks onto Bailey unicorn ? (1 adult lightweight city bike - Bailey unicorn Madrid, 2016)
Have changed my car and it is unfortunately now an either/or option between carrying bikes on the back or towing 😞 - can’t do both at the same time.

Bike is too big to go in the car, I’m not tall enough & shoulder injury precludes it to go on the roof . Don’t want it inside the ‘van and it can’t go on the back.

The a frame seems the only option:

The first thing needed is to remove A frame cover and see if there are any existing holes for fixing that mate up with the carrier, as drilling the frame is a NO. Then consider the weight of the rack plus bike weight added to the towball permitted noseweight. Also will it foul the handbrake operation when a Bike is fitted.

I’ve fitted this carrier to a previous van. No drilling is required other than through the a frame cover if you choose not to remove it (I did)
Weights are well within limits - already checked.
It’s the fouling the handbrake, jockey wheel and other issues I’m after information on, hence posting here.

Try making use of the caravan step to help get it up on the car roof.
As mentioned, Putting something on the roof is not an option even with steps.
Those who’ve said ask someone. All very well until I’m in the countryside with not a person round…. 🤔
