The MSN games room I frequent has moderators. If anyone has a problem theres a help room you can go to where other moderators try to sort it out. One of them who is a member of our Game Room Forum posted me the following chat from the Help Room -

===============

Moderator: What kind of computer do you have?

Zoner: A white one...

===============

Zoner: Hi, I can't get my cd out.

Moderator: Have you tried pushing the button?

Zoner: Yes, sure, it's really stuck.

Moderator: That doesn't sound so good..

Zoner: No .. wait a minute... I hadn't inserted it yet... it's still on

my desk... sorry...

===============

Moderator: Click on the 'my computer' icon on to the left of the screen.

Zoner: Your left or my left?

===============

Zoner: Hi, good afternoon,, I can't play. Every time I

try, it says 'Can't find game'. I've even taken the CD and placed

it in front of the monitor, but the computer still says he can't find it...

===============

Zoner: I have problems printing in red...

Moderator: Do you have a color printer?

Zoner: Aaaah....................thank you.

===============

Moderator: What's on your monitor now please..

Zoner: A teddy bear my boyfriend bought for me in the supermarket.

===============

Zoner: My keyboard is not working anymore.

Moderator: Are you sure it's plugged into the computer?

Zoner: No. I can't get behind the computer.

Moderator: Pick up your keyboard and walk 10 paces back.

Zoner: OK

Moderator: Did the keyboard come with you?

Zoner: Yes

Moderator: That means the keyboard is not plugged in. Is there another

keyboard?

Zoner: Yes, there's another one here. Ah...that one does work

===============

Moderator: Your password is the small letter a as in apple, a capital

letter V as in Victor, the number 7.

Zoner: Is that 7 in capital letters?

===============

Zoner: I can't get on the zone.

Moderator: Are you sure you used the right password?

Zoner: Yes, I'm sure. I saw my husband do it.

Moderator: Can you tell me what the password was?

Zoner: Five stars.

===============

Moderator: What anti-virus program do you use?

Zoner: Netscape.

Moderator: That's not an anti-virus program.

Zoner: Oh, sorry...Internet Explorer.

===============

Zoner: I have a huge problem. A friend has placed a screen saver on my

computer, but every time I move the mouse, it disappears.

===============

Moderator: How may I help you?

Zoner: I'm writing my first e-mail.

Moderator: OK, and what seems to be the problem?

Zoner: Well, I have the letter 'a' in the address, but how do I get the

circle around it?

===============

Zoner: Im having a problem with my printer.

Moderator: Are you running it under windows?

Zoner: "No, my desk is next to the door, but that is a good point. My brothers is under a window, and his printer is working fine."

===============

And last but not least...

Moderator: Okay, let's press the control and escape keys at the same

time. That brings up a task list in the middle of the screen. Now type the

letter "P" to bring up the Program Manager.

Zoner: I don't have a P.

Moderator: On your keyboard.

Zoner: What do you mean?

Moderator: "P".....on your keyboard,

Zoner: I'M NOT GOING TO DO THAT!!

Likewise - really enjoyed this - in fact just copied it and emailed it to clients and contacts.

On a similar theme I was told a story by an AA patrol guy who said many years ago he was under the bonnet of a Ford Anglia that had broken down. The driver was a twenty something lady who as he was working was chatting away to him rather nervously.

After a while he "switched off" (as you do - after all, we men cannot multitask) he then stated giving her instructions re cranking the engine over on the starter.

He decided it wasn't electrical and muttered under his breath "Agh! Crap in the carburettor!"

A little voice from the side of the car said:-

"Goodness - How often do I have to do that?"
