Accident near Le Mans

Saw a very sad accident on the A28 near Le Mans today. Very high winds and a very badly damaged UK registered Peugeot and Adria 'van. Couldn't stop to help but hope the occupants were ok.
 
Even in summer I've felt a caravan unsettled with winds in that area. The wind conditions yesterday and today would have been unsuitable for caravans. We even left Cornwall on Monday given the deteriorating weather conditions towards mid week.
Like you I hope the occupants were unharmed.
 
I don't think it matters where you may see a caravan accident involving people It unsettles you when you're driving .
We passed one on the A66 going to the Lakes a while back & that was due to high winds , I wasn't going fast when I passed but i slowed down even more after seeing that !
