Hi there folks
We are looking to purchase a 2nd hand caravan we have our hearts set on an Ace Award Firestar 07/2008, we have seen alternatives i.e. Abbey 495 but we just love the look of the silver trim on this particular model, we would ideally like one with a motor mover too. It seems that the Firestar is a very popular caravan and they seem to be few and far between! Is anyone looking to sell theirs now or in near future please drop a post on forum. We are in Gloucestershire area.
Thanks in advance

Kay we just sold our Firestar last May we had it from new 2008 model we loved it the reason we sold it was due to the fact we had a Brightstar before it which had an end bathroom, when we were at the Manchester show we saw the Lunar SE which the wife fell in love with due to the end bathroom, as you know the Firestar has a side end wet room which the wife could not get on with, this was the only reason for selling it. The room you get in the lounge area is what sells the Firestar and the open plan look, we lost only £700 at trade in for it and the dealer sold it the week after has they are a sort after van, production finished at Swift on the Ace caravans in 2009. Good luck in finding one, we would still recommend the Frestar if you can get on with the wet room type toilet. We had the Truma S mover fitted which handled the van with no problem, also make sure that its had the modification done to the centre window, polyplastics had to increase the thickness due to the fact the window was flexing to much causing marks on the inside of the window, another one is the Hartel door lock make sure that has had the modification too otherwise you may find youselves be locked out of the van, see previous threads on this forum, most dealers are aware of these mods.
