Ace Supreme Twinstar. Suitable For Europe?

Hi

We are planing a 8-10 week holiday in France and Spain in October. We have viewed a huge number of caravans and it would seem the Twinstar meets all of our needs. Being a caravan virgin can anyone help with advice or comments as to the suitability of the van. We will use a ".8 LWB Pajero to tow with.

Thank you

Terry Rich

Sounds like agood outfit for a long stay holiday. I tow a Fleetwood Heritage with a 3.2D LWB Shogun; have taken this van to France, Switzerland, Italy for three consecurtive years, had no problems. You might get folks warning you about the 'twin-axle phobia' in France - we have NEVER had any problem. It's true France does have its 'itinerant' problem in some areas, and this is what causes the anti-twin axle rule on a small number of sites. But don't get the idea you will run into lots of difficulties, as I never have and nor should you. There are plenty of us that will back this up!I do recommend you travel with the Caravan Club Europe guide, this lists all sites and gives current ACCURATE info and you will see from this any sites to avoid. Always look up in advance at least for that. France has literally hundreds (probably thousands!) of good sites, so trust me you won't ever be stuck for a place to stay. Enjoy your travels - you'll soon be hooked!! Richard.
