Another way to help is, on arrival, assessing the terrain and predicting if the jockey wheel may need to reach a long way. Then you can clamp the jockey wheel tube at the lowest possible level before unhitching. This still might not be enough for an extreme slope but may work for a gentler slope without the need for steadies or lift and snatch.
I keep an old axle stand in the front locker and use that if I have to undo the jockey wheel to reset it.
