Blackout Blinds

Hello

Looking for a blackout blind solution for our caravan.

We’ve got a 4 year old and 18 month old who come with us and the littlest one likes to wake up at 5am and wake everyone else up with him (including half the site more than likely!)

Looking to get some blackout blinds and hoping that’s the solution 🤞🏻

Are the sticky/velcro ones you can get on Amazon the best bet?

Thanks

Good luck on that, with young ones.
We have a pigeon, that wakens the dog are 05:30..
I think Dunelm do a Blackout blind that could be adapted.

You can buy blackout curtain lining from fabric sellers. Cut it to size and safety pin to the inside of the curtains. If it works take the curtains off and do a proper sewing job.
However I agree that small children have an inbuilt alarm clock. You can try keeping them up later but in my experience they still wake up at the same time, but grumpy.
Good luck

Looking in my Elddis van all of the fixed curtain tracks are twin tracks. If yours is the same it should be fairly simple to make suitably sized rectangular curtains out of black out material - buy some matching runners to sew every few inches along the curtain top replicating the existing curtains method and hang the blackouts on the inner track.

Definitely the sunlight waking ours up in the caravan.

He’ll sleep until 6.30-7.00am at home (sometimes longer) but he’s woken up at 4.30am and 5.00am the past couple of times we’ve been away 😂

We’ve ordered something online, see how that goes this weekend 😬 wish us luck
