Advice needed on old Alde hot water system please...

I would think you would need a diverter valve so you could choose your source. Or, do away with the Alde altogether. I wonder why you are using a pump and have not plumbed into the mains. As I remember, the van is permanently pitched by the house.

I think my modern Alde is 7 litre. We have two submarine style showers with a 10 min gap in between, all from 1 aquaroll. So it should cope well.

10 litres of hot plus the addition of cold will be enough for two “ submarine” showers.

Hi JohnyFrost, not sure about that particular model of heater, but my Truma Combi heater is just 10 litres and it is fine for a 5 minute shower, then it takes about 15 to 20 minutes to heat up to 70,c ready for another shower.

We have that fitted and no issue of running out of hot water.
