I would think you would need a diverter valve so you could choose your source. Or, do away with the Alde altogether. I wonder why you are using a pump and have not plumbed into the mains. As I remember, the van is permanently pitched by the house.

I think my modern Alde is 7 litre. We have two submarine style showers with a 10 min gap in between, all from 1 aquaroll. So it should cope well.

Hi JohnyFrost, not sure about that particular model of heater, but my Truma Combi heater is just 10 litres and it is fine for a 5 minute shower, then it takes about 15 to 20 minutes to heat up to 70,c ready for another shower.
 
Have you investigated this purpose built designed unit?
