Hi I brought a protec cover for my van last year and covered the two telerscopic aeriels that come out of the main aeriel with foam lagging, but when we removed the cover it had started to show signs of wear on the cover, is there anything elsa I could try to stop this, I cant find a way of removing the aeriel for the winter cheers.
 
We removed our status aerial. It's a simple job, stepladder, and a screwdriver. There is a small grub screw on the side of the status aerial which unscrews and comes out sideways, and you should have a 'winter cap' which covers the hole when it's been removed.
