Al-Ko ATC

We have recently purchased a used twin axel Bailey Senator Carolina 2006 and are thinking about having the AL-KO atc control fitted. We tow the caravan with a Landrover Discovery 2 which seems to be quite stable. Has anyone had one fitted to a twin axel, is it succesful and what sort of cost would it be for a fitting at home. Any help would be much appreciated. Many Thanks Jason

There is no reason why the ATC system should be any less effective on a twin axle.

What one should bear in mind in case of a retrofit is that you must be clear in your mind that the unit can only be fitted to caravans with AlKo chassis. Therefore, if you should ever wish to transfer the unit at a later date to another caravan, then this, too, must have an AlKo chassis. This would exclude Elddis caravans, for example, which have BPW chassis. If you want to keep your options open, you would need a universal electronic stabiliser and the LEAS system is the only such system that I know of on the market.
