If you aren’t sure of your Alko stabiliser you could see if you can purchase a Bulldog stabiliser on eBay or similar. You might need to revert the caravan back to a standard hitch. Although Bulldog state their unit is compatible with hitch stabilisers I was always advised against such paralleling. I used the Bulldog type for years before I had my first Alko in 2005. In retrospect I think the Bulldog one was better.
Where did you find that info? Such stabilisers were common in the UK with over-run brakes before hitch stabilisers became the norm.
