Alde Central Heating

I don't have it but assume as the fluid is special and will contain an antifreeze then you do not empty it because you would not have the facilities after travelling to refill it.

I often travel with the Alde boiler filled with water; it depends if I need hot water in the next few days or if I am intending to lay the van up.

The Alde's inhibited water circuit remains filled throughout the life of the particular antifreeze/ inhibitor it is charged with. [2 or 5 year life fluids being the more common].
Recharging this can be challenging, it is definitely something that would not be drained until it is time for it to be changed.

Filled as its special fluid
Its standard G13 anti-freeze , its the same stuff that VW use, dont buy the Alde fluid as it £35 for 4lts at a motor factors its £10 for 5lts.

I normally prime the hot water at home and travel to site full , but empty for the journey home, adds around 10kgs to the weight.
