Alko 3004 hitch and stabliser

Hi all I fitted 4 years ago the Alko 3004 hitch to my van, yesterday when getting ready to come home the handle wouldnt stay up I had to hold it up and lower it ont the towball, normally when i lift the handle it stays up on its own until it lowered on to the towball then clicks on, Is there a spring in side that needs replacing and is it a job that can be done at home or is it a new hitch?

you need to lubricate the handles on the side, silicone spray

on the inner part of the handles NOT NEAR THE PADS

put plenty on where the levers are on the side and then work the handles up and down about 20 times

OFF THE TOW BALL THIS SHOULD CORRECT IT
