any tips for fitting both alko wheel locks when wheels are not lined up?

I think that AL-KO say to jack the van up and rotate the wheel to line up with the keeper

Yes, we usually manage to line one up and jack to rotate the second wheel. If both are out then jack and rotate both wheels.

We use a trolley jack, much better than the supplied Alko side lift one.
