Hi all. I need to purchase a hitch lock for the caravan we are buying this month. It’s for an Alko 3004 stabiliser so looking at the Alko premium black range. Have found a few close by that are second hand, but how do I know if it’s the right one? Am seeing a number on the labels - ETI 811746 which seems to be the same number I’m seeing on photos of new locks advertised as for the 3004, but when I look up the number can’t find any real reference.

Any advice appreciated. Also any dos and don’ts on 2nd hand.

Thanks

A potential problem buying second hand security equipment is that the previous user may still have a key. I did it with Alko wheel lock but in that case the lock itself is removable from the lozenge, so I did a bit of swapping around locks in to a pre owned lozenge bought from a caravan dealership.

Interesting. The header on this supplier says they are in Rotherham, but when you scroll down to the seller details they are listed as being in Hull.

Hmmm.....
They have been on EBay since 2006, with 64601 ratings over that time with 99.8% positive feedback. Does it matter where they ship from?

If you look on Streetview you will see their premises.

Bought several things from them over the years , quick delivery with no problems whatsoever,
You often find company Address different from their dispatch warehouse.
