Alko Secure

I keep hearing about people who are unlucky enough to have had their caravan stolen

Now I have the latest alko hitch lock (which I now know can be levered off)

But I also have the Alko Secure wheel clamp which I think is quite good

What I would like to know has anybody had a van stolen with this clamp fitted

do we take it thats a no hopefully good news as I have one.I think a receiver on the off side would be useful for the odd occasion

Caravan Club magazine (letters) shows a photo of two units cut off with oxyacetylene.

Looks like the receiver is accessible through the wheel slots.

The insurance companies give a hefty discount if one is fitted so they think that they are better.

No other wheel clamp would be oxy acetylene proof

If a thief is undisturbed aand determined they will overcome any security device

We had a heavt duty 3 arm wheel calmp and the lock barrel go jammed. It took me less than 5 minutes with a junior hacksaw to remove it.

I couldn't do that with the Alko

Once you remember to line up the reciever before doing anything else on arrival its a doodle
