Alko Tow Hitch Problem

I have an Alko tow hitch fitted to my Eldis - there is an anti-snake tensioner on each side but they have seized up - any ideas?

I need to know fairly quickly as I have a site booked soon.

Hi Alan,

Can you tell us what model Alko hitch you have. Does the handle move up and down!! Try moving the handle up then push it down to the towing position and put your finger inside the cup where the tow ball goes to see if you can feel the friction pads moving in and out.

Hi looks like you need new friction pads, made did it last year and seized while hitched up. Had to force the wheel to release and then tow home without stabilizer on
