Alko Towball Bolts

Hi just fitted an alko towball to repace my original towball, the problem is I couldnt fit the torque wrench on the original side the nuts were (facing towards the boot of the car) so have had to put the nuts on the other side. This does look slighlty odd but is there any other reason why I shouldnt do this or should I be ok?
