Alko wheel bearings

Hello All,
Just had Bailey Senator Vermont in for Six year service, and the fitters told me that wheel bearings need changing. Never had this on any other van, so asked what were the symptons and they said something about " bubbling". Does anyone know what they might mean. Last year I had a mobile service guy and suspect he may not have used much, if any grease?

The most likely affliction to your bearings is “brinelling”, the most common form of failure of "rolling element" bearings. For details Google the term.
It can be a rare in service failure but is very much more often associated with abuse during removal and refitting. That you should suffer two rare in service failures at the same time is incredible odds; that the same fitter used the same incompetent technique on both bearing when he removed and refitted them, is almost certain.
The bearings are sealed for life and can't be re filled with grease so that was not in question.
