I have been offered a cheap Alko 2002 stabiliser to use on my 1992 Award Sunstar,but have been advised I will have to change the ball size on my swan neck Peugeot fitted towbar. Is this the case?
You will only have to change the ball if it is not 50mm.I think what is being refered to is the fact that Alko supply a ball with their stabilizers that has a larger stem to move the ball further away from the car to allow for the larger head of Alko unit over "standard ball".
The Alko is a standard 50mm ball and with a swan neck the dimensions below the ball and from the bumper should be OK. With the bolt on ball you need the special Alko ball(
