An Awning Question.

Being all in favour of ease and comfort, we are looking to buy a light-weight awning for use over winter weekends. But, having seen and experienced the problem that many of them present when the wind gets up ( their bendy poles making it difficult to strap them down effectively ), we are quite taken by the idea of the Impacta-Lite awnings made by the Outdoor Revolution Company - their inbuilt metal bar and webbing tie-down straps seem to offer a fairly good solution to such difficulties.

The problem is that they represent an expensive mistake if they are no more secure than the cheaper competition. I wonder if you have any experience or opinion on their efficacy..?

Thanks for suggestions,

Olly.

Olivier Hi. Having asked a similar question elsewhere about lightweight awnings...we were thinking of one for autumn spring use etc. I have been put off m ost models for various reasons. i.e. poles n ot strong enough...too flimsy material..water leaks...bad in windy conditions..it goes on..and I am being told if we buy one to expect one season from most ...to me that isn 't what we wanted.

I haven't any comments on your particular model though...but we have decided to stay with a conventional N.R. Porch Awning...as it will be erected during wintry weather..

This may not help you..maybe someone will know your specific model.

Chrisanne.
