"Can PC remove these adverts from their website?"

No, the adverts cannot be removed other than by Haymarket, however your post can, and has been as it was totally provoking and totally uncalled for, and based on unfounded assertions.
Repeats of similar postings will not be tolerated on this forum in any of the sections.

Sadly, in many countries where children face poverty, disease, dirty water and premature death there is no democracy; so their parents have not voted anybody in. The governments may have squandered resources, taxpayers money and international aid but there is often little that parents of dying children can do about it. Often the only hope they have is the likes of us offering a handout. Yes, there are children in this country who need our charity but that does not make the suffering of innocents in other countries any less. You have to make your own decisions as to where you make charitable donations but I do not believe that we should have fewer reminders of how awful it is in some places. Please do not remove the ads.

Can I second that, I get served up French adverts, which as well as being pointless, some are not for 'Family consumption'.
If anyone from Haymarket reads this, can I point out that third party adverts served up on a commercial website smacks of desperation in paying for the site & IMHO looks completely unprofessional.

There's a thread about the ads in the 'Our Website' section. It looks like we're stuck with them, although you can apparently get ad-blocking downloads.

There is a 4 page topic on adverts in Our Website, under Advertising Banners.
Particular note to be taken of Bob McDowells reply on page 1.
This topic is now locked.
