Plus dealing with the native wildlife, a tough environment for sure. Have heard of the RLI, a good thing to be able to “swing the lamp” about for sure. 👍

But “lovely and cool” the lowest I ever experienced on the Moor was -12c, more with windchill, that has its challenges as well, how the Finnish military operate so efficiently at -40 is beyond belief……I don’t do cold, not that cold anyway. I have experienced-20c in Africa though.

Yeah, it was actually March, went from 30c to -20 with wind chill, in five days. Fantastic experience though.

On my visits to Australia, my mates were putting on sweaties in the evening when it dropped to 25c! Winging it was getting cold. 🤷
