Another service out the way.

As the title says, another service out the way without problems, virtually nothing except an odd one. The high level brake light is an LEd unit and one of the leds is out, there are seven altogether. Apparently it can only be sorted by replacing the whole unit, a very simple job £34 plus £10 delivery which is a tad expensive for the weight of the parcel. The thing is, being an LED I am surprised it has failed after three years, I mean its hardly had much use compared to LEDs in other situations. Of course, we are just out of warranty.

At least we are another year damp free :p

amusingly enough I was just looking at booking my next one which is due in September. The first had to be done by the retailer due to constraints of their warranty, But they were expensive at £265 plus parts and they are a 120 mile round trip away so I have sought out a local mobile servicing place after advice form the forum who is much more reasonable and much closer to home; they also seem to tick all of the boxes accreditation wise (and he is ex Royal navy so I trust him to do a good job, ex service thing).

Well he should be able to find damp if there is any :p

We are lucky, we use an accredited workshop that is only four miles away and these guys are tip top. They even do little thing off their own back and very often dont even charge for them. wish I had found them years ago, full service there is £184.

Our caravan got through its annual service earlier this month so sighs of relief all round. It cost £220 using an NCC approved mobile engineer which is a bit steep but I trust him so I do accept that I might have to pay more than some but the piece of mind is worth it.
