Anyone know how to reseal a polyplastic double glazed window?

The two halves of one of the polyplastic double glazed front windows in my 2005 Elddis Odyssey has 'come apart' allowing water to enter the window cavity. It has split down one complete side and along about half of each the top and bottom lengths. My local dealer (usually very good at tips on repair) says that the two plastic edges cannot be resealed and that I will need to buy a new window at £250+. Does anyone know of a glue or other sealer that will repair this without damaging the plastic? This happened while on the continent when gaffa tape was a running solution!!

Hi Lawrence

I've just had a similar problem on my Bessacarr Wentworth but not quite as drastic as yours - mine was about 3 or 4 bits about 100 mm long. I took the window off and laid it flat on a worksurafce and then used Captain Tolleys creeping sealer in very small doses letting it run around the edges and finding the gaps. It took about 3 or 4 days just putting a small amount in and letting it dry before repeating. It looks a bit odd at first because it is white but it does dry clear
