I have just been onto Saga they quote British law that states no caravan body length over 7 metre may be towed on their policy, their is no towing caravan produced in the UK with a body length over 7 metres. The article is bit ambiguous and can confuse people in thinking their van is over the 7 metres if they include the A frame which is the Shipping length. Could you please confirm this before you have every one rushing to cancel their car insurance like we nearly did? We clarified this with the Caravan Club Technical department that insurers’ quote towing is allowed up to a body length of 7 metres on their policy’s. Please could you check that we are correct in our assumption of the article.
