Astra 1.7 TDI Key Fob 08

Hi out there
whilst checking the fuses i seem to have lost the ability to lock the doors or set the alarm.
Any one know how to program the key/fob

Hi Paul, have the 01 reg and to re-set put key in ignition, close door, turn key to first setting,(do not start engine) push button on fob, you should then hear the doors lock and un lock in rapid succession. Take key out and it should be re-set

As said works on my 01 gallopy but may be different on an 08 plate.

Have you taken the battery out of the key fob ?

Have you put the fuse back in the slots OK ?

Just a thought, did you manage to blow a fuse whilst carrying out the fuse check?

i did check all fuses with meter and have rechecked them

checked both keys and checked i had put fuses back in the correct place as per manual

Am I right in thinking that you removed the battery from the key fob to check the battery ?

When you remove one you only have a short time before the new one needs putting in,
Having done this myself by not having the new battery ready to put in

& I had to call the main dealer who managed to sort it , only because I had not touched the other key I was able to re programe it as instructed.........

If you have removed both batterys from both fobs for more than a short while then both fobs will have lost there memory.......

thanks for that i have not removed the batterry as both keys were working prior to me checking the fuses for the lights ofn the caravan
I i did check all fuses and must have removed the immobiliser fuse which has now lost its memory
