Hello all, I am writing on behalf of my lovely parents, Pete and Wendy who have at long, long last given in and bought themselves a Renault Traffic mobility van which has just had a brand new conversion to a motor home. It's lovely! They are so excited and are looking forward to joining a small group of us at Moreton-in-Marsh Club site at the end of September. We erected their Movelite XL drive away awning yesterday in their garden and we were all impressed by the size of it - the van is being delivered on 1st September so I will no doubt be posting about our exploits whilst away. The clincher for my parents was we told them that you are a long time dead, life is too short and we wanted them to be with us on our caravan experiences so that when they did eventually leave this earth - we had loads of lovely memories and photos of all the good times (hopefully!) they will have had with us and their friends. So happy for them and I am sure they will enjoy themselves immensely.

Having spent 5 days with them at Ross Park very recently, I am sure they will be really happy as they loved every second of their experience with us, so having their own space will be a bonus!

Well done Lisa. Now get them on t'internet and they can be welcomed to this forum. It doesn't matter that it is a motorhome; it is all sleeping in a field!

I'm afraid I have more chance of turning water into wine than I ever have of getting my parents on tinternet Mel! I have said that I will act as their voice should they wish to ask anything and have taken over doing their bookings for them online as well. Aren't I a good daughter???? lol. Seriously, can't wait for them to get off on their own and enjoy themselves.

One down ... one to go. Visited the Spring Caravan and Camping Show on Sunday with my youngest sister and her husband. They ended up purchasing a brand new Trigano Alpha trailer tent. They have two girls under 4 and wanted to start out with a trailer tent then look to buying a caravan in a couple of years. We are thrilled as it's another family to join us on our travels. Now, if we could magic a car out of thin air for my middle sister and her family we wil have recruited a hat trick!

I's nice to be able to have your family around you on holiday Lisa, although I have to say that I haven't had a holiday with extended family since boyhood.
Many rally goers rally as families which is good because there's always somebody for them to talk to or to mix with even if they try rallying with a DA outside their locality where they don't know anyone.
I hope that your sister and her family will enjoy the trailer tent and I'm sure that one day they will become full blooded caravanners
