ATC

I've just bought a Swift Challenger 530 (2022) and am in the process of changing my caravan insurance.
One question the insurer asked (on line) was if the van had ATC. I automatically said it did, as I thought all newish vans had it as standard.
My last van, an Elddis had an indicator on the A frame and when I hooked that van up to my car, the ATC cranked up.
However, my Swift doesn't have any indicator on the A frame and there is no noise when I hook it up to my tow car.
As I want my details to be correct and don't want any issues for the insurer to wriggle out of in case I need them, how do I know if ATC is fitted?
Thanks in advance.

You will have an LED on the A frame and when you plug in car will hear it set itself. But I doubt your caravan has it unless you have a dealer Special which had them as standard fit. Dealer specials also have different Decals than standard Challegers.

Thanks Birdman101.
I thought that to be the case.
Honesty the best policy with insurers.
Will refill the online form reflecting such.

As the Chalenger’s are high on Swifts range I would have thought they would have ATC, so I looked at their current specification and indeed they do. I would have thought the same was true of a 2022 model.

I’m surprised that the OP isn’t certain of whether ATC is fitted or not. They are not difficult to identify viz:

I am in the same boat; wouldn’t recognise one of them if it tapped me on the shoulder and said hello I am your ATC gizmo. 😀I only know we have one because it was in the sales spec and there is a little light marked ATC.

Looking at this with interest we have been looking at a Bailey Caravan range are they standard on them, but we will not be towing but might be going seasonal .

If you are not towing you won’t need one! You will probably choose based on layout and internal specs, so I wouldn’t worry about it. Good luck in your search.
