Great set of photos, some of which bring back memories. I saw TSR2 at RAF Cosford museum and could not believe that my phone at the time had more computing power than possessed by its quite large avionics bay.

Most of the aircraft in our air force were Hunters and Canberra's. Helicopters were Alouettes. Our police air wing was privately owned planes like pipers etc.

Many years ago we went to Cosford museum and I enjoyed the day. OH found it a bit boring. Now that son in law and grandsons are here in the UK, maybe time for another visit?

Stunning photos Hutch i too used to love going to aviation museum saw one in Malta my dad was based there in the war and when he spoke about it brought some loving memories back.

Scariest moment I had while a passenger in a small 4 seater aircraft was flying between towns, we ran into very heavy fog. The pilot basically did a sharp U turn and in doing so the stall warning sounded off. Not knowing what it was certainly had me worried. Pilot explained he wasn't instrument rated and the plane was not equipped for night flying. Only way out of the fog was a total U turn and hope that he was on the same path back the way we came. The fog was only over one specific area, but we could not fly around it as returned to airport and waited a couple fo hours for it to clear befroe resuming our journey.

The next time also in a small seater aircraft we came into land and all I could see was the hill in front of us and it looked like the we were going to fly straight into it. At the last moment the pilot lift the nose for us to land on a gravel runway which makes a lot of noise in the aircraft. The runway was not level, but going up a hill hence it looked like you were flying into the hill.

On both occasions definitely brown trouser moments! 🤣

Excellent images,nice one Hutch,only ever flew twice return,Rhodes and back,not much room I'm 6'5" walked round like a question mark for the first day,and only 40 then ✈️

I used to travel each week between Lyneham and Walney by Barrow in Furness. It saved me driving home. The plane was a Beechcraf Kingair and some weekends it would only have the pilot and I could sit in the copilot seat. Brilliant views. One weekend it took longer to find my hire car under snow than the flight took. I didn’t like the Lyneham to Northolt leg as it was at low level under visual guidance and could be very turbulent at times.
