Hope I've put this in the right category. I have tried to put a photo into my Avitar slot, but although the photo is the right way round in my gallery, when it comes up on the forum it is sideways. How do I turn it round the right way up. Perhaps a kind administrator can throw some light on this and solve the problem. I bet it's very simple when you know how.
 
The only thing that I can suggest would be to crop your original picture to make it a bit smaller and more rectangular, save the edited copy and use that.

I'd ensure that the original picture is saved in the correct size and orientation before uploading. That should preserve those settings.
