Avondale Wren door hinges

Hello All, we've recently bought an immaculate 1 owner 1993 Wren which intend to keep in good condition whilst we use it. I've noticed the lower half of the external door in stiff & I've tried squirting wd40 & oil inbetween the plastic & aluminum elements of the hinge to no avail! So, any ideas on how to lubricate or where to get second hand hinges. I've contacted a number on caravan breakers & no luck.

Please note that WD40 is not a lubricant, it is a Water Dispersant. 😉

Taken from the WD 40 web site

"Myth: WD-40® Multi-Use Product is not really a lubricant.

Fact: While the “W-D” in WD-40® stands for Water Displacement, WD-40® Multi-Use Product is a unique, special blend of lubricants. The product’s formulation also contains anti-corrosion agents and ingredients for penetration, water displacement and soil removal."

I had a similar problem with my Avondale Mayfly gas locker door, removed the screwed part of the hinge and polished with fine Wet and Dry, WD40 attacks the plastic bushing and makes it worse, been fine since I did it about 4 years ago
